BRUNSWICK COUNTY -- Lowes Foods plans to close its Shallotte location.
The Brunswick Beacon is reporting that the store on Main Street will shut down by Sept. 17.
It's one of several locations across the state that are expected to close.
The company says the store's employees will be offered positions at other locations or otherwise assisted.
