WILMINGTON -- There's a very unique, historic and affordable place to stay in downtown Wilmington.
The Stella Maris Hostel offers shared bunk-bed rooms and a communal kitchen and bathroom all for $27 a night.
Staff says the hostel provides a one of a kind experience and the chance to meet guests from all across the world.
"You're sharing the kitchen at the same time, you're both making dinner. You know, polite conversation starts up and then you know you start talking about international politics and you know you're hanging out going out downtown together, or going to the beach” says Max Davis, one of the caretakers at Stella Maris.
A private room is also available for rent for $40 per person.
Guests can stay up to seven days.
