ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. - Two Jacksonville men face charges after being accused of attempting to remove a child from a car during a child custody dispute.
Onslow County sheriff's deputies say 50-year-old James Pollock Junior and 19-year-old Lethen Pollock Junior were arrested Thursday after they tried to take the child from a car against the child or parent's will and hold them for ransom until another child was returned to them.
Warrants were issued, but both turned themselves in.
They have been charged with attempted second degree kidnapping and assault on a child under 12.
They were jailed under a $20,000 bond.
