WILMINGTON- The Trolley Pub in downtown Wilmington allows customers to buckle up, start peddling, and now also enjoy their favorite alcoholic beverage.

Earlier this month the business was granted exemption from the public consumption rule. This now enables customers to bring their own alcohol on board while they pedal around town.

Owner, Kai Kaapro, says that safety is always priority and while alcohol is now allowed, there are still rules to follow.

"We don't actually serve alcohol, customers can pack their own coolers with beer and wine, they just can't have glass or hard liquor on board, and they bring their own so we don't actually sell any alcohol."

However, the two hour tour makes frequent stops, allowing customers to get off and enjoy local bars and restaurants.
