WILMINGTON -- The Cape Fear Fair and Expo continues this week in Wilmington.

Thousands of people enjoyed fried foods and thrill rides over the weekend.

This year the fair is showcasing eleven new rides.

Event organizers expect more than 40,000 people to attend throughout the week.

"It’s a great break up. Everyone does the typical Halloween thing. This is our tradition. We do this every single year. So on top of Halloween this is something that is just in the plans,” said Craig beard, a fair visitor.

Tickets are $22 and that includes all of the attractions.

The fair is in town through Sunday.
