NEW BERN -- Mumfest kicks off this weekend in New Bern and a record-breaking attendance is expected.
Normally the festival attracts about 80,000 visitors, but the recent rain and expanded festival could draw up to 100,000.
The Mumfest co-chair says the festival offers something for everyone.
"They can come. They can bring everyone with them, get together and just have a good time with their family. That's what we're really looking for," said Gary Curry, Mumfest co-chair.
Mumfest now starts Friday evening, going into Saturday and Sunday, as opposed to just Saturday and Sunday in years past.
