WILMINGTON -- Big changes are coming to downtown Wilmington. On Tuesday, McKinley Building Corporation broke ground on a new apartment complex, Sawmill Point.

The complex will feature one to three bedroom apartments with the entire project set to cost around $45 million.

Ken Dull owns the building company and says this project has been in the works for over two years. He was given the green light last winter.

In addition to the new apartments, residents will also have access to the nearby marina. Mckinley hopes to have the entire project completed by fall 2016.
