TOPSAIL ISLAND, N.C. -- The popular board game Monopoly has made its way to Topsail Island. The game has a Topsail Island version complete with landmarks, history and unique game pieces.
The creators of the game say they were inspired after seeing the North Carolina version of the game, but thought Topsail Island was special enough to warrant its own version.
"Topsail Island is very special to a lot of people in their hearts. I've been coming here for 28 years. Most people come to Topsail Island year after year, and this just kind of helps them remind them remember Topsail Island when they are away from Topsail Island," said Grier Fleischhauer, co-creator of Topsail-Opoly.
The game can be purchased at Topsail Island Trading Company, the gift basket or online.
