BUFFALO, N.Y. — Cyber security experts are working through the weekend to fix a ransomware attack on the Buffalo Public School District.

The BPS says its IT officials continue to work alongside the FBI and Grey Castle Security to resolve the issue.

They're trying to recover and validate the safety of critical information systems affected by the systems breach Friday morning.

The FBI says there is a ransom of up to $300,000, though no demands have been made.

The district says it plans to notify parents Sunday afternoon if school will be canceled Monday.
