The inauguration Mass of Pope Leo XIV took place Sunday.

The mass marks the official start of a Pope’s tenure.

In his homily, Pope Leo stressed a message of unity, and spoke about his own feelings about being chosen as the new pontiff.

Professor Meghan Clark, who teaches Moral Theology at St. John’s University, spoke with NY1 Anchor Rocco Vertuccio Sunday morning on “Weekends on 1” about the start of Pope Leo’s papacy.
