Members of the Monroe County Democratic Caucus are calling on the office of public integrity to investigate salary discrepancies for Sheriff Patrick O'Flynn.

They say following the 2017 budget agreement last year, O'Flynn was set to make an annual salary of a little more than $136,000. According to the County Administration, O'Flynn actually brought home more than $149,000.

The Legislators say the administration is calling the error a "typo" and claimed to fix it.

"We are calling on the Office of Public Integrity to investigate these concerns and others to make sure Monroe County is acting in an ethical, transparent, and accountable manner. The action to amend was not transparent and did not follow precedent,” said Minority Democrat Leader Cindy Kaleh.
