RALEIGH, N.C.-- From test driving robots, to building a boat out of duct tape, this year's Triangle SciTech Expo is sure to not only stimulate but also entertain even the brightest minds. You can also set your sights on some pretty cool animals while you're there.

Caroline Blair takes a behind the scenes look at the expo, and it’s more than 50 different exhibits, crafts and hands on demonstrations.

What to Expect:

  • Free event!
  • 50+ hands on exhibits, games, crafts, and activities.
  • Scientists and technical professionals from universities, organizations and industry.
  • Activities are designed for all ages and stages of learning.
  • Families are encouraged to attend.

New this Year:

  • Appalachian State University’s competitive solar vehicle Apperion, will be on hand.
  • STEM: The Musical, a 50 minute live-action production, features singing, dancing and all-ages STEM content.
