Amy Elliott has been with the Spectrum News team for nearly a decade. After a three-year stint in the coastal newsroom, Amy moved just a few hours away to officially join the Spectrum News Raleigh team. Raised in Tennessee, Amy recalls growing up always knowing that she wanted to be a television reporter. Amy made her way to North Carolina during her college years at Gardner-Webb University, where she received her bachelor's degree in journalism in 2009.

Throughout Amy’s career, she’s covered various stories, from hurricane recovery to courtroom trials. She also spends many days at the General Assembly and is a frequent contributor to our political program, Capital Tonight.

When she isn’t at the news desk, you can find her going for a jog, reading a book, or relaxing with her husband and brand new baby boy by her side.
