The Fayetteville Police Department and FBI pleaded for the public’s help finding Blake and London Deven during a press conference on Friday.

What You Need To Know

  • Police are asking the public to help locate Blake and London Deven, who they say moved to the Fayetteville area in 2015
  • Authorities say they are still searching for 17-year-old Blake Deven, who family members say has been missing for "several years"
  • On Thursday, police said London Deven, a relative of Blake, may also be missing

  • London has not been seen since 2019, and the last photo of her available to investigators is from approximately 2012

Police said they searched the old Fayetteville home of the Devens', who no longer live there, on Friday. The Deven family moved to the Fayetteville area in 2015, according to police. They also confirmed that they previously searched three places, but did not disclose the locations or why they searched them.

Authorities are asking anyone who has encountered Blake, London, or the Deven family since 2015 to contact authorities. Officers are still attempting to piece together the timeline of the relatives’ disappearances.

Felicia Chandler, Blake’s biological mother, posted on Facebook Wednesday asking for the public’s help finding her son. She said Blake’s birth name is Trenton Dewayne Shuler, and was changed when “he was tak[en] from me” and given to a foster family.

Spectrum News 1 reached out to some members of Blake Deven's biological family, but have not yet received responses.

This all comes after the Fayetteville police released new updates on the case Thursday, identifying London Deven as a possible missing relative of Blake Deven. Family members say Blake, a 17-year-old, has not been seen for "several years."

Police have not said how Blake and London are related.

London Deven, who police clarified is 27 years old at Friday’s press conference, was last seen in Fayetteville in 2019, according to investigators. The most recent photo available to investigators is from approximately 2007, when she was likely 12 years old.

Police say while conducting interviews in a separate investigation, members of Blake's family reported that they had not seen him in several years. It's not clear how long it's been since he was last seen.

"Due to the unusual circumstances of his reported disappearance, the Fayetteville Police Department's Homicide Unit, which also investigates missing and endangered persons, is leading the investigation," police said.

Last week, the police department asked for the public's help to find the boy. Fayetteville police and the FBI also searched three locations last Wednesday as part of the investigation into Deven's disappearance.

The last photo of Blake Deven available to investigators is from approximately 2012.

The Fayetteville Police Department said Thursday that it and the FBI continue to search for Blake Deven. The FBI added a poster of Blake Deven to its missing persons webpage and will release it on its social media accounts.

"Detectives and Special Agents are following a number of leads and have conducted interviews to gather information to locate Blake," police said.

Spectrum News 1 asked Fayetteville police for more information regarding the Deven family, but they did not respond.

Anyone with information regarding the location of Blake or London Deven is asked to call the Fayetteville police tip line at (910) 578-2697 or contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
