RALEIGH, N.C. — The Triangle SciTech Expo kicks off on Saturday, April 25 at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.

While the museum has been open for its everyday exhibits, the expo will mark the first in-person event at the museum in two years due to the pandemic.

“I think SciTech, you know it happens in April so we were like this is probably not going to happen," said Miranda Dowdy, coordinator of public science events at the museum."We were all thinking by June we would be back at it, right? And it just didn’t happen.”

The expo will feature all kinds of interactive activities, and scientists will be on hand from a number of area universities and organizations.

The is event is free and runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

“Getting in here and learning to ask questions or how to explore the world in a different way is really a lot of fun, and we hope they come out and can see how fun science can be," Dowdy said.
