GREENSBORO, N.C. — Chefs and mixologists across North Carolina are spreading some holiday cheer with the help of a product with the word right in its name.
Cheerwine challenged them to use their classic holiday punch product for holiday-themed recipes, and a dozen of them delivered.
The recipes range from a retro punch from a mixologist in Asheville, to Cheerwine bread pudding from a chef in Charlotte.
Greensboro-based chef Jody Morphis even came up with a recipe for duck confit that incorporates the product.
“Any little thing that can kind of bring your spirits up really helps,” said Morphis, the chef and owner of Blue Denim in downtown Greensboro. “This was a way to get creative a little bit, in this time that we’re in, and so it’s helped a lot.”
Blue Denim and four other establishments, out of the dozen that created recipes, will serve their creations through the end of the year.
“They’re an iconic brand from Salisbury and we love it, we drink it in our house all the time,” said Morphis. “it’s a really good thing. The world needs a little bit of cheer right now.”
If you want to try any of these recipes at home, you can find a full list of them on Cheerwine's website.
