NORTH CAROLINA -- Governor Roy Cooper's Phase 2.5 of reopening allowed for gym owners to reopen their doors.

Gyms like Muscleworkx Fitness were able to operate on 30 percent capacity to ensure social distancing, after being closed since March due to COVID-19.

Members like UNCW student Jenna Aversano signed up for a membership after the recreation center on campus closed.

Jenna says being able to work out in a facility after all these months is very exciting.

"I'm happy about it because I think if everyone can stay healthy and stay fit, they will have a better chance of just staying healthy in general and obviously not get super sick," she says.

Along with gyms, museums, aquariums, and playgrounds were also allowed to reopen.
