  • Desks will be spaced 6 feet apart, students and teachers will wear masks, and buses will be at half capacity to accommodate for social distancing

In Charlotte, the team at Aristotle Preparatory Academy has been planning for the announcement for months.

Charlie French, the school’s director, says the desks are spaced 6 feet apart, and there are markers on the floor telling students where to stand and which direction to walk.

French says the team has had supplies ordered and plans drawn up since late March and is ready to see students back in class in just a few weeks.

“There’s not an opportunity to slow down and complain about it,” French says. “We just had to go for it and turn in the plans.”

Aristotle Prep’s first day back in the classroom will be August 17.
