PEMBROKE, N.C. --Dozens of cars were bumper-to-bumper on Sunday at the main building of the Lumbee Tribe.
We’re told that about 200 people were tested for COVID-19 at a special drive-thru testing site.
As of Friday, Robeson County has more than 530 cases of the coronavirus. Twelve residents have died due to coronavirus.
The pandemic is happening at a difficult time for the Lumbee people. Many are still trying to recover after being hit by two hurricanes since 2016.
Tribe officials say the drive-thru testing site will continue on Monday and Tuesday.
