CONCORD, N.C. -- In just a little over a week, live sports will be back on the air with the return of the Coca-Cola 600 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

To keep everyone safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, the race will go on without fans in the stands. But for those who live at the First Turn Condominiums at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, they’ll have a once-in-a lifetime opportunity watching live sports return in person right outside their living room windows.

For Condo owners like Christian Espinoza, they can’t wait for the rubber to hit the road.

“Yeah like the National Anthem, the green flag, I’m sure it’s going to hit me then like OK. Look at this opportunity,” says Espinoza. “Nobody else is here. Like it’s an opportunity I’m never going to forget. Once in a lifetime. That’s like the definition of once in a lifetime so yeah don’t want to take it for granted.”

Espinoza says the HOA is limiting each condo to only 5 people each during the race, to make sure to properly social distance. The Coca-Cola 600 is set for Sunday, May 24 at 6 p.m.
