CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Todd Peterson is retired, but for the last few years he has basically had a full-time job.

Peterson repairs donated computers and then gives them to those in need.

Right now, Peterson says he is working on 12 computer repairs. In the last year, he says he has given away about 200 computers.

Sunday Peterson gave a computer to the nonprofit Anchor of Hope Sober Living. The computer will be for those living in one of the nonprofit's sober homes.

"The beauty of this is I get to give something to people that are giving to people and then you have this tsunami of giving," Peterson said.

Those willing to donate a computer or those who want to help Peterson fix the devices can contact MakerSpace.

Peterson will also be holding a free information course on how to use computers Saturday, December 14 at 2 p.m. atMessiah Lutheran Church in Charlotte.
