PERSON COUNTY, N.C. – A group in Person County is using the season of giving to help some of the community’s most vulnerable.

Person County used to be number one out of all of North Carolina’s 100 counties for sending people to the Jaycee Burn Center in Chapel Hill.

That's what inspired firefighters to take action.

The Barton Manor Christmas House helps raise money for victims in need.

It’s basically a haunted house attraction, only Christmasy!

Barton Manor is located at 970 Frank Timberlake Road in Roxboro.

Doors will open December 6.

No photo description available.

The cost is $5 per person, and proceeds go to the support, education, and recovery of burn survivors and their families and the prevention of burn injuries.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and stay open until the last patron leaves.
