NORTH CAROLINA -- More than 7,000 people came out to Raleigh's Coastal Credit Union Music Park Sunday to hear a message from Evangelist Franklin Graham.

  • The tour travels to eight cities
  • He commented on political topics to the media Sunday
  • He'll be traveling to western North Carolina next

The son of iconic preacher Billy Graham is on an eight-city tour in the state called Decision America.

Before his sermon, the Reverend spoke with the media and commented on some of the political topics of the day.

"People realize our country's in trouble. Society has changed, we're not better. If anything our country is worse. People are more divided today. We have huge racial divides in this country. We still have problems with the poor in this country," he said. "We need to fix the problems and I think that's what the American people expect from our politicians. Let's fix the problems. And when the next election comes, if you don't like the guy you can vote him out and get somebody else in there."

Before Sunday's Raleigh visit, Rev. Graham stopped in Fayetteville, Greenville and Wilmington.

He's scheduled to visit Greensboro, Charlotte, Hickory and Asheville on the tour.
