TAMPA, Fla. — Hispanic artists at the University of South Florida invite you to come to the Carolyn M. Wilson Gallery and become part of their family.
The name of the exhibition, “Arroz con Frijoles” meaning “Rice with Beans,” explores what it means to be Hispanic.
Six artists from different Hispanic backgrounds offer work reflecting on culture, beauty, immigration, family and more.
Couches are part of an interactive installation, where patrons are welcome to sit and be part of their family.
They are reaching out to the greater community through art in order to foster greater understanding and acceptance of Hispanic culture.
The exhibition will continue through September 19 and will move to the Marshall Student Center Gallery through October 19.
