ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The low pressure and front have stalled to our north, which is why we’ve had multiple days of showers and storms coming in from the Gulf of Mexico.
Although we will still have that pattern the next couple of days, it won’t be quite as persistent as what it has been.

Instead, we’ll see longer breaks of dry weather in between the waves of showers coming through.
With that in mind, expect partly cloudy skies overnight into early Tuesday morning with lows in the mid to upper 70s.
Morning showers and storms will move in from the gulf and spread across the region. However, the coverage will be down slightly from the past couple of days to about 50 percent.
In general, there will be more sun and slightly less cloud cover.
Highs will be in the upper 80s to low 90s.

The showers and storms will die down Tuesday evening, with partly cloudy skies and lows in the 70s.
Wednesday will feature the low pressure finally starting to pull out to the northeast, but dragging the front down toward us. As a result, expect a heavier round of showers and storms that day, with about a 60 percent coverage by the end of the day.
Highs will be near 90.
Slightly drier air will move in for Thursday into Friday, with rain chances decreasing a little down to 40 to 50 percent. The scattered thunderstorms won’t be as persistent and long lasting.
