NORTH CAROLINA – Heavy rain has caused major flooding in different parts of the state.

Emergency crews say flooded roadways have been a major concern. Officials say only six inches of water could cause a driver to lose control of a vehicle, so don't try to drive through deep areas of water.

Several roads in Rolesville suffered flood damage. A portion of Mitchell Mill Road has collapsed and emergency responders are advising drivers to stay away.

Additionally, some roads like Mitchell Drive in Hickory and even driveways have collapsed.
