CONCORD, N.C. -- Concord police have made an arrest a day after one person was shot at AMC Concord Mills 24 movie theater Sunday evening.

  • William Weldon was shot at Concord Mills at AMC Concord Mills 24.
  • Authorities say it was a dispute over seating in the theater.
  • The suspect is Bryant Eaves, Jr.

Concord police say around 6 p.m. they responded to a shooting at the theater, which is located inside Concord Mills mall. 

 

 

They say the shooting occurred after a dispute over seating in the theater and it was not an active shooter situation.

It is not believed the suspect, 18-year-old Bryant Eaves, Jr., and victim knew each other.

The victim, William Weldon, was treated for his injuries and released.
 
Eaves has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill. He is currently being held in the Lancaster County Detention Center awaiting extradition back to Indian Land, South Carolina.
