WILMINGTON, N.C. -- After a wet past several months for the region, the pattern has completely flipped, and a much drier setup is in place.

  • A nice day is unfolding with highs in the low to mid 60s in many area with some 50s for northern parts of the viewing area
  • Look for lots of sunshine Monday through Wednesday with highs continuing to run a little below average
  • A weak storm system will swing through Thursday, and I will continue to mention a very limited shower chances Thursday and Thursday night

We will have some high clouds at times for this St. Patrick's Day, but overall, a nice day is unfolding with highs in the low to mid 60s in many area with some 50s for northern parts of the viewing area.

Look for lots of sunshine Monday through Wednesday with highs continuing to run a little below average for mid-March.

A weak storm system will swing through Thursday, and I will continue to mention a very limited shower chances Thursday and Thursday night. But at this point, that looks very insignificant.

Dry and warmer weather then arrives for Friday and the upcoming weekend.
