LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. – Two suspects have been arrested in the assault and robbery of convenience store owner.

Billy Franklin III and Jessica Nations are said to have allegedly stolen a 2001 Honda Odyssey from the Corner Market in Lincolnton.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office says the two entered the convenience store on Confederate Road around 1 a.m. Tuesday morning.

While Nations used the phone, police say Franklin went behind the counter and stabbed the store owner. They were arrested Thursday in Taylorsville.

Franklin is facing multiple charges, including attempted first degree murder while Nations faces multiple charges, including accessory to first degree attempted murder.

The owner was transported to Atrium-Lincoln, and later to Atrium-Charlotte for treatment of "stab wounds and multiple facial injuries."
