NORTH CAROLINA -- The Famous Toastery is one of the country's fastest-growing restaurants with plans for expansion here in its home state of North Carolina.
- The North Carolina-based Famous Toastery is quickly expanding across the Southeast
- Ten new locations are expected in 2019
- Twenty new locations are expected in 2020
The company, which has several locations across North Carolina, plans to open 10 new locations in 2019, with five of those in the Charlotte area.
Another 20 Famous Toastery locations are expected in 2020.
The company says each time it opens a location, it donates 100 percent of proceeds from the first two days to local non-profits.
The company’s growth in the Southeast parallels the growth the region is seeing as a whole.
“The South is on a tear, whereas other parts of the country are just not. The people are migrating to North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennesse. Thy’re migrating out of the high tax states,” said Robert Maynard, co-founder and CEO of Famous Toastery.
Famous Toastery has nearly 40 stores along the East Coast.
