CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers have arrested a man in connection to a robbery at a Dollar General in north Charlotte, Saturday morning.

They say 42-year-old Matthew Hartsell used a stolen truck to crash in to the Dollar General on Oakdale Road at around 7 a.m.

Police say Hartsell went inside, stole some items, and drove away. He was found a short distance away when the truck he was driving crashed into a fence.

He has been charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
