Authorities Find Missing Hiker in Blowing Rock

NORTH CAROLINA -- The search has ended and a missing hiker in Blowing Rock has been found.

Officials in Caldwell County say 67-year-old Frank Senady of Charlotte was hiking on the China Creek Trail on Saturday but never returned.

The experienced hiker was found Sunday morning around 11:30 uninjured but very fatigued.

Blowing Rock Missing Hiker Update: Mr. Sanady has been located uninjured. He is in a very rugged area well off the trail. Rescuers are facing challenges due to the weather and terrain. Helicopter extrication is not going to be possible. Updates will be posted here when available.
