CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Three teenagers have been charged with a shooting at an east Charlotte Family Dollar.

Police say 17-year-old Matthew Morgan, along with a 14-year-old male and a 15-year-old male, met in the parking lot of the Family Dollar on Milton Road around 4 p.m. Tuesday for a drug deal.

During the exchange, the minors attempted to rob the 17-year-old and shooting commenced. All three teens were struck during the altercation.

Morgan was charged with Possession of Schedule IV Drugs and Possession of Marijuana.

The 14 and 15 year-old males were charged with Armed Robbery, Felony Conspiracy, Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury and Attempted Murder.

They have been transferred into the custody of the juvenile detention center.
