TAMPA, FLA. — A Tampa man was arrested Wednesday after a pipe bomb exploded in his backyard.

Joseph Caltagirone, 60, was charged with making, possessing, throwing, placing, projecting or discharging a destructive device.
Police said the explosion occurred around 4:24 p.m. at a home on E 17th Avenue.
Police said the remnants of the PVC pipe bomb were found outside the house in the backyard where the explosion left a divot in the ground.
There were no injuries or property damage caused by the explosion, police said.
Caltagirone and another man at the home were questioned while police investigated, however, the second man has not been charged.
