PERSON COUNTY, N.C. – Roxboro Police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured near South Elementary School overnight.

• A shooting happened at an apartment on Cleveland Lane overnight.
• It happened around 9:00 p.m.
• One person was injured.

Police say they responded to an apartment building at 131 Cleveland Lane around 9:00 p.m.

Upon arrival they located one person who had been shot.

That person was transported with unknown injuries.

Details on a suspect have not been released and the investigation is onging.
