LENOIR, N.C. – The Lenoir Police Department is investigating after a 4 year old was killed in a car crash Tuesday evening.

  • A 4 year old and 79 year old died in a car crash Tuesday.
  • Crash occurred on Lower Creek Drive in Lenoir approximately 60 yards from the Taylorsville Road intersection.
  • The cause of the crash is being investigated. 

Police say Joseph Noll, 79, of Lenoir was driving west on Lower Creek Drive with his wife Barbara, 84, around 4:30 Tuesday when his car struck a car containing Natasha Wells, 38, and her three young nieces, ages 2, 4 and 9.

Joseph and the 4-year-old girl died as a result of the crash.

Barbara Noll was flown to Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem where she is currently listed in critical condition.

The 2 year old and 9 year old were transported to Carolinas Medical Center where they are listed in stable condition.

Natasha received minor injuries and was not transported.

The Lenoir Police Department is investigating the crash.
