HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. -- The man accused of harassing a UNC professor has been found guilty of misdemeanor cyberstalking.
Napier Fuller sent 12 emails to Dr. Lisa Zerden between December 2016 and January 2017. Prosecutors argued some of those emails contained anti-gay, harassing and threatening messages.
During trial, Fuller contended he was only exercising free speech and that 12 emails aren't a lot, although some emails were sent within hours of others. He also says Zerden is an LGBTQ supporter and he was only presenting an argument.
