CATAWBA, N.C. -- Search warrants in the investigation of a former Catawba County sheriff's captain have been made public.

• Sheriff candidate Jason Reid is accused of stalking an ex-girlfriend

An ex-girlfriend accuses Jason Reid of stalking her in 2017 and placing a GPS tracking device on her car. Reid is running for sheriff and is the son of current Catawba County Sheriff Coy Reid.

The warrants reveal that SBI investigators searched the narcotics division of the sheriff's office  last month for computers, cell phones and any equipment used by Jason Reid along with data, documents and logs.
