CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police need your help finding the person accused of robbing a gas station before shooting an employee in the stomach Wednesday night.
- The clerk was transported to CMC with serious injuries.
- They say the thief also shot into a car that was passing by.

It happened at Citgo on South Boulevard and Emerywood Drive in south Charlotte.
Police say the clerk was locking up when the gunman forced them back inside the store, took property and shot him. The victim was transported to Carolinas Medical Center.
Investigators say the thief also shot into a passing car.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (704) 334-1600.
