GASTON COUNTY, N.C. -- An inmate has been reported missing from the Gaston Correctional Center.

The Department of Public Safety says state correctional and local law enforcement is searching for Montavious Miller, a minimum custody inmate.

He was last seen at the facility at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and was reported missing at 9 p.m.

Miller is 5'9'' and weights 204 pounds.

He is originally from Mecklenberg County and is serving a 10-year 8-month sentence. 

He was admitted to prison in August 2013 and was scheduled for release in December 2021.
