CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Day laborers in Charlotte have a new place they can safely gather and receive services while waiting for work.

The Latin American Coalition partnered with Providence United Methodist Church to create The Worker's Collaborative

Leaders say the space isn't just good for day laborers. It's also beneficial for people who need to hire them.

The collaborative is located at Central United Methodist Church's St. John campus on Monroe Road.
