WILSON, N.C. -- While millions of students participated in the National Student Walkout, both in memory of the 17 students killed in Florida last month, as well as in protest of current laws governing the sales of firearms in the United States, Wilson Preparatory Academy in Wilson saw only one student participate.

Justin Blackman says he got up at 10 a.m. during his Spanish class and walked out in support of the walkout. But when he got outside he found he was the only one.

Taking to Twitter, Blackman said he was the only student who walked out and his teacher didn't really care that he left.

Wilson Prep has around 700 students enrolled.

The post, which was only 30 seconds long and did not include why Blackman chose to participate in the rally, has already got more than 2 million views on Twitter alone.

It is unclear if Blackman will face consequences for his decision to walk out.
