CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton stopped in Charlotte to sign copies of her new book, titled "She Persisted Around the World: 13 Women who Changed History."

Among them, the first woman to discover a comet and an Indian doctor who continued to practice after she was paralyzed in a car crash.

One of the men who lined up for a copy was Charlotte City Council member Braxton Winston.

"She tweeted on her first 280 character tweet right after I was elected in November and it's had quite the effect so I heard she was here today doing this event and I wanted to introduce myself and say hello. So, this was the first time we've ever met each other in person. So, we're both kind of excited to see each other," Winston said.

Clinton's book is a follow-up to her 2017 book about 13 women who changed American history.
