ANSON COUNTY, N.C. -- An inmate slashed two officers at the Lanesboro Correctional Institution.
The North Carolina Director of Prisons says it happened on Feb. 20.
When an officer told one inmate to leave another one's cell, he says the inmate lunged at the officer with a homemade weapon.
Both he and a guard who came to help were cut.
They were treated at the hospital, only one needed stitches.
