CHIMNEY ROCK – A North Carolina state park is closed until further notice after Monday’s rainfall caused serious damage to one of its retaining walls.

According to the park's website, the wall was located at the top parking lot of the Chimney Rock section of the Chimney Rock State Park. The NC Department of Transportation and other crews are working to clear up the debris that washed on to the streets.
