CHARLOTTE – Charlotte based Snyder's-Lance will lay off 250 people worldwide at the end of the week.
So far, the company won't say where the cuts are occurring.
The layoffs are part of a transformation plan to streamline some of the processes of the company which employs about 1,500 people in Charlotte.
In a statement, President Brian Driscoll said, “This has been a very difficult decision for our organization and we sincerely appreciate how difficult this is for our impacted team members and their families."
The profitable company is positioning the cuts as part of a plan to help meet growth targets.
