HICKORY, N.C. -- Police in Hickory are investigating a robbery at a Christian bookstore.
The crime happened over the weekend.
Hickory police say they have identified the suspect and issued a warrant for the arrest of the person suspected of robbing Lifeway Christian Bookstore over the weekend.
Police say the man was in the store just before 6 p.m. on Saturday walking around and then approached the register and handed the clerk a note asking for money.
Police don't want the public to know how much money was taken because that's still part of the investigation.
No gun was presented, and the man left on foot.
Authorities released a picture over the weekend of the suspect.
Police say they have identified him and have a warrant for his arrest.
