NORTH CAROLINA -- Over 400 new jobs will be coming to North Carolina.
Gov. Roy Cooper made the announcement on Monday morning that Corning will bring 200 jobs to Cabarrus County and another 210 jobs to Catawba County.
The governor says his administration is continuing their efforts to show companies like Corning that North Carolina is a prime location to do business.
"My administration, we're working hard at telling companies like Corning that North Carolina is a great place to do business. We're able to convince company officials that North Carolina has the skilled workforce, the stable infrastructure, the convenient location in the southeastern United States to allow Corning to grow," said Gov. Roy Cooper.
Corning specializes in making glass, ceramics, and related materials for industrial and scientific applications.
