CHARLOTTE-- When Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, visited Charlotte on Sunday, she held a round-table discussion with leaders of Charlotte's African-American community.

The group gathered at Mert’s Heart and Soul restaurant in Uptown to discuss the importance of police sensitivity, in light of the Keith Scott killing September 20. They also talked about a need for a universal set of guidelines concerning police officer's actions in times of suspect confrontations.

The founder of 'Million Youth March', Mario Black, sat right next to Clinton and described the one-on-one visit as “overwhelming.”

Black says while he wishes Clinton would have visited Charlotte sooner, during the height of the unrest, their meeting was valuable.

"The beautiful part about it is she listened, she put politics to the side, she put Hillary Clinton to the side and she listened. It was more us sitting down, having Sunday dinner with friends, family and friends."

Black appeared Monday on the Power 104.4 radio station talking about the Clinton round-table and meeting her in person. He said his group has plans to establish a youth advisory council in the future. You can follow the Million Youth March on their Facebook page
