Actor Bill Nunn, best known for his iconic role as Radio Raheem in Spike Lee's "Do the Right Thing," has died.
The longtime character actor broke out in a big way in the late 80's, playing the boombox-carrying, "Public Enemy"- loving Raheem in Lee's 1989 smash.
He went on to appear in dozens of films and TV shows, including "New Jack City", "Sister Act" and the "Spider-Man'' films.
Lee shared the news of Nunn's death on Instagram, writing: "Radio Raheem is now resting in power. Radio Raheem will always be fighting da powers dat be."
Nunn's wife says he died in his hometown of Pittsburgh after a battle with cancer.
He was 62 years old.
